After a deadly mass shooting in Hampton, Georgia, suspect Andre Longmore, 40, was killed in a confrontation with authorities following a 24-hour manhunt.

Longmore allegedly gunned down four victims in a suburban area near Atlanta. During the shootout, two officers were injured, one severely. The tragedy marked the 31st mass killing of 2023 in the United States, left the community in shock. Longmore’s alleged act of violence sparked an intense manhunt, with authorities offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to his arrest. The victims were identified as Scott Leavitt (67), Shirley Leavitt (66), Steve Blizzard (65) and Ronald Jeffers (66). The community, once again, mourns the loss of innocent lives as the city of Hampton with a population of approx 8 thousand people, had not recorded a homicide since 2018, as per the city officials.
