Massive Landslide in Maharashtra, India Village Leaves 26 Dead, Ongoing Search for Missing

The death toll from a devastating landslide in India’s Maharashtra state has risen to 26, with numerous others still feared trapped under debris. The landslide struck the remote village of Irshalwadi, located 60 km from Mumbai, burying at least 17 houses and affecting around 225 residents. Rescue teams, including the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), have been battling difficult weather conditions and rugged terrain to search for survivors. The rescue efforts have been hampered by continuous rainfall, poor visibility, and limited access to heavy equipment. The tragedy continues to unfold as families mourn the loss of their loved ones.
