In a remarkable and unprecedented session at the Mexican Congress, journalist and ufologist Jaime Maussan presented what he claims to be 1,000-year-old “non-human alien corpses” to a captivated audience during the first-ever congressional hearing on UFOs. These purported beings, he asserts, are not part of Earth’s terrestrial evolution.
Accompanied by mummified specimens featuring three-fingered hands, Maussan revealed that these enigmatic entities were unearthed in the mines of Cusco, Peru, within a layer of diatomaceous earth, an ancient phytoplankton algae. Astonishingly, carbon-14 analysis conducted by researchers at the Autonomous National University of Mexico confirmed their age.

While Maussan stopped short of definitively labeling them as extraterrestrial, he emphasized their intelligence and coexistence with humans throughout history, suggesting a profound reevaluation of our understanding of the universe. A staggering revelation emerged during DNA testing: more than 30% of the specimens’ DNA remains “unknown”. Further intrigue surrounded the discovery of eggs or ovaries within one specimen and the presence of rare metals like Osmium in another.
However, it’s important to note that Maussan’s credibility has been questioned in the past, particularly in connection with alleged alien discoveries that were later debunked. Skepticism lingers around these latest claims.
Joining Maussan at this historic hearing were other prominent figures in the field. Ryan Graves, founder of Americans for Safe Aerospace and a former F-18 pilot with extensive U.S. Navy service, testified about the national security implications of UFOs, echoing the sentiment that humanity is not alone in the universe. Harvard University astrophysicist Avi Loeb, appearing via video conference, expressed similar beliefs.
The session featured additional witnesses, including Enrique Kolbeck Vergara, a pilot and Mexican air traffic controller with nearly five decades of experience. Vergara recounted an incident from 1994 in which an Aeroméxico plane was allegedly intercepted by a UFO over Mexico City, raising concerns about potential crashes. In another incident in 2002, a pilot in Morelia reported a close encounter with 15 to 20 metallic objects, each approximately 20 meters in diameter.
The hearing concluded with Vergara highlighting the safety concerns posed by these unexplained phenomena, emphasizing their advanced and unconventional technologies that defy conventional understanding and violate airspace regulations.
While this presentation has ignited curiosity and debate, it is essential to underscore the need for further rigorous scientific examination before drawing definitive conclusions. The questions surrounding the origins of these alleged “alien” corpses and their significance in our understanding of the cosmos remain unanswered, leaving room for both skepticism and wonder.
